Admission requirements

The MSc. in Management specialized programs are designed to enhance existing- skills and develop new-ones of managers and professionals in business as well as public sectors. We strive to enrich the personal competencies and management skills of each candidate to enable each one to pursue his or her professional career in an international context.

The program is highly interactive, creative and intensive and it prepares each participant to take up the challenges of a manager in his/her domain. The quality of the program is partially accomplished through a selective admissions process that brings together a broad group of highly qualified and motivated participants with required academic background, experience, potential, and passion.

Accordingly, applicants should submit the following documents to the Office of AAU Registrar:

  • Official transcript and degree (Educational qualification should be in management, accounting and finance or other management streams or functional areas (such as marketing HRM, Supply Chain), economics, engineering, and statistics. (For double degree only business decrees acceptable). See partner university criteria.
  • Evidence of English proficiency. For non-native English speakers who have not possessed their degrees from Ethiopia, a TOEFL score obtained within the last two years or a document certifying that the medium of instruction of the university they got their degree from was English during their time of study.
  • Two years’ relevant work experience
  • Statement of objectives, a maximum of one-page resume, and two letters of recommendation from the industry.

Applicants who fulfill the above criteria will sit for entrance exam for admission. Applicants are expected to achieve competitive score in the quantitative and language proficiency (communication) test prepared and administered by the Department of Management. (The admission test will be prepared in GMAT standards with some general business management question included).
